John A. Colby & Sons
History
John A. Colby was a cabinet maker in Chicago beginning in 1879. In 1885, the name was changed to "John A. Colby & Sons". His furniture factory closed in the 1920s. "Colby's" then became a retailer for other manufacturers in the 1940's.
